What we publish, who checks it against FDIC and IRS sources, how corrections are handled, and the placements no advertiser can ever buy.

What we publish, and who checks it

01
What gets published
Calculators, explanatory guides and head-to-head comparisons covering certificates of deposit. Nothing here is written to hit a keyword; each page exists because a saver faces a decision and needs a number.
02
Who writes it and who checks it
Every page is written and reviewed by the site's named author and checked against primary sources: FDIC and NCUA rules, Truth in Savings requirements, IRS guidance on interest income, and individual bank disclosures. A formula change requires a passing test suite before it is published.
03
Corrections
Errors are corrected in place, with a dated note whenever the change affects a number a reader may have relied on. We do not quietly edit outputs.
What advertisers cannot buy
A place in the rate tables
Inclusion in a comparison
The wording of any verdict
The result of any calculator
What we will not do
Popups or interstitials
An email gate ahead of a result
An ad unit between your inputs and your answer
Claim a credential we do not have

Corrections: if any number on this site conflicts with a bank disclosure, tell us and we will fix it or explain the difference publicly.
